Bone Densitometry

Bone Densitometry is used to diagnose the density of bone for increased risk of fracture. A very minimal amount of X-ray is used to scan the hip and lower back. A Bone-Density screening is suggested every 2 years. We provide state-of-the-art bone densitometry in convenient outpatient settings. A Densitometer is an advanced way to diagnose osteoporosis and other bone demineralization conditions. Osteoporosis is preventable and treatable, and early detection is the best way to protect yourself from its potentially debilitating effects.

Bone density is a simple, safe, non-invasive, and painless scan. The amount of radiation you are exposed to during a DEXA scan is a fraction of that from a standard X-ray. A radiologist will analyse the DEXA images and share results with the doctor who requested the exam, who will then discuss the results with you.
